The Week in Kids, #8.1

Also this week...

This just in...while I was posting The Week in Kids, #8 this afternoon, Jonah was at a very clever Mario Brother's themed birthday party.

The birthday boy, Jonah's friend Asa, dressed in full Mario gear including penciled on mustache, while dear Jonah eats pizza beside him.

A Mario pinata.

And, the whole gang.  A bunch of Marios and Luigis, and one Princess Peach.  One of the party games was to stomp on balloons with gold (chocolate) coins inside.  If you don't have a child who loves Mario Kart you can not know how cool this is, but trust me.  Asa's mom is COOOOL.

If you missed it, don't forget to check out The Week in Kids, #8 just below, or follow the link.

See you next week!

  2. Do you mind me asking how you negotiate the only one kid going when all are so close in age.

  3. Vince, it was a little tricky. Sam really likes Asa. But only Jonah was invited. So, I dropped Jonah off and took Sam to McDonalds where he ate garbage, got a toy, and a cookie. I went surprisingly well. And it was a good teaching moment.

  4. I love kid birthday parties and this one looks like a really fun one! Luckily, I have a 5 year old niece and now a great niece on the way, so kiddie parties are still in my future for a while : )

  8. My son and daughter are playing Mario Kart as I write this comment! I tried it, too, when I was really tired, and my driving reflected that!
