The Christmas Card Photo Shoot

It is so hard to get a photograph of three small children, sitting still, smiling, all looking the same direction.  But, this year we did it.  Well, my mother did it.  I made sure they were dressed in clothes that would match my blog.

Unfortunately, there are some things we are not going to get done this year.  We are not going to have the time to pick out a Christmas card format.  We are not going to have time to up-load this photo to a maker of such cards.  We are not going to have the time to go to pick up such cards.  Or address envelopes to mail such card.  Or the money to buy and apply postage to such cards.

We are sorry.  Consider this your None-Such Christmas Card.

And since we had to pick the best photo out of dozens of bad ones, and two or three that were mediocre...

I offer you this photo of Jonah, where he does not look like he is braying like a donkey.

Merry Christmas!

  1. Handsome kiddos Tracey!

I would LOVE to encourage you with words of...when they get older it will be easier to take the group photo but it would NOT be true! This year I did a collage of CRAZY snaps and it shows their TRUE personalities and I think I like that better!

    I love Christmas photos!

  2. I'm SO with you on the Christmas cards. It's sad that some years the tradition can not be carried out..but even we super women have limitations! LOL! I think I enjoy posting the attempts on my blog and leave it at that. It's not worth the stress!

Now these pictures really are adorable! What cute kids you have. Love it.

  4. Oh oh oh - Christmas Cards! I haven't done Christmas Cards - not enough time this year. The kids have sent cards to their classmates - that's the most I could achieve. Lovely photos of your kids as always. By the way, I liked your previous post too. It made me laugh.

  5. I did holiday cards for the first time in a LONG time this year...but all I had to pose was a 10-year-old and a puppy, so it wasn't so difficult. I love your photos. Very sweet.

  6. A family photo is a major accomplishment, so thanks for sharing! You know, I have noticed a drop in the amount of cards we receive by mail in recent years. Several people have replaced mailed cards with e-cards, but some just have abandoned the practise all together. I love hearing from people so I happily take either version!
